How many visits will I need for my Dental Veneers?
Dental Veneers are usually done in pairs to best match the colour of mirroring teeth, and sometimes up to 8 can be placed at once to produce an even level of whiteness and tooth shape for the best looking result for your smile.
Sometimes two visits may be required to complete the treatment process, with little or no anaesthesia required during the procedure. The tooth or teeth are prepared by lightly buffing and shaping the surface to allow for the thickness of the veneer. A mould or impression of your teeth is taken and a shade (colour) of the Veneer will be chosen by you and your Dentist. If a second visit is not required, your Canberra Dentist will be able to complete the procedure by cleansing your teeth and varnish with special liquids to achieve a durable bond. Bonding cement is then placed between the tooth and the Veneer, and a special light beam will be used to harden and set the bond.
